I don't personally have one, but i know friends who do. I have different opnions on them. Some people think like you just can't have intercourse. I personally think oral sex should count for it. Just because it is a sexual activity too. What are your opinions on it?

Well I don't have one, but I agree with you. I'm not saying that I'm necessarily waiting until marriage, but I think that the whole point of a purity ring is defeated if you say that only intercourse "counts" for it. If you truly believe in waiting, or staying "pure" then I don't think there should be exceptions like that.

I don't really see the point in them.. like it's a nice idea and if you have one, then thats cool by me, but surely you know yourself if you're "pure"/going to stay "pure", and so i don't really see the point in a ring, but whatever.

In the same way, i think they can symbolise whatever you want.

I also dislike the word "purity". I can see why it could be considered relevant.
I dislike the idea of condemning many people as "unpure" though. Although i know thats not the point, and noones saying that, it just sort of seems like a side effect to me.

I feel the exact same way. That's why I put the word "pure" in quotations haha.

I have one, but I don't wear it. Like Summer said, people shouldn't need a ring to tell them when to stop or remind them that they promised. I know how far I'm willing to go.

Like yeah i agree, but i think if you have one and wear one, and like have oral it completly defeats the point of even having one.

Not really, I mean I know when you get one you're supposed to abstain from all sexual activity, but if you only promise yourself to abstain from actual intercourse, I don't see a problem with oral.

Idk I really think it does. Only because it is another form of "sex" I guess you can say. So I just believe like if you practice using a Purity ring you would probably want to stay "pure" from oral too. I guess its really just a opinion for everyone.

I think it depends on your definition of pure.

I don't have one. I don't really want to get one, though. 'Cause I don't really like to wear rings!

I don't have one, but I am making that promise to myself to stay pure.

I honestly think they are pointless. You dont need an object to symbolise a moral belief, you just need to have the belief.

I think that sometimes having a purity ring can lead to the person wanting to have sex and rushing into marriage at an early age. I get what their for and I'm not against that it just that it seems kinda like more of a get-married-really-fast-so-I-can-get-this-annoying-ring-off-my-finger.
